FAQs
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Garden party semi-formal! Please dress your best! We want to see fun, colourful, festive summer moments. Please no white or solid blacks.
Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food options?
Short answer, yes.
Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?
Please contact Maria @ 778-233-3103 or Mangeshig @ 778-887-5584
Can I take photos at the ceremony?
The ceremony will be unplugged and we have our iconic photographer, Rashelle, to capture the moment. Please refrain from taking photos or using your phone during the event.
What weather are we expecting? Will plans change if it rains?
We are expecting hot weather so wear your SPF and drink lots of water! If it rains we will still hold the ceremony outdoors.
Will there be bathrooms on site?
There are no bathrooms in the park. However folks will be able to access our apartment across the street if needed. A public bathroom is also located at Grandview Park a couple blocks away.
There are accessible bathrooms at the Heritage Hall.
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Yes, both the park and hall are wheelchair accessible.
Parking?
There is plenty of free street parking near the park. There’s a small “lot” on Kitchener St. between Odlum and McLean, 1 block away. The nearest parkade is 5 blocks away under the Freshmart on Commercial and 1st. (entrance on Gravely)
There’s paid street parking near Heritage Hall on Main st. You might be able to find street parking on the side streets but I assume it will be mostly permit parking. There’s a parkade close by under the Shopper’s Drug Mart on Main and 17th. Further away, there’s plenty of parkades near Main and Broadway.
What can we do before/after the ceremony?
There’s a few nearby eatery’s for food or drink on Commercial drive. Some of our favourites:
Turk’s (coffee)
Sing Sing (food/cocktails)
The Charlatan (food/cocktails)
Don Oso’s (food/drinks)
Merci Beaucoup (food)
Mum’s the Word (coffee/cocktails)
Near the Heritage Hall on Main St:

El Camino’s
JJ Bean Coffee
49th Parallel
Burgoo
Brown’s Crafthouse
Can I bring my dog?
We ask that you please leave your dogs at home as Mooz (our cat) will be in attendance, and we want her to feel comfortable in the park. Thank you.
Gift registry?
Y’all are the greatest gift but if you should like to contribute to our honeymoon, a wedding card can be dropped in the card box at the reception. For those who prefer to get a gift from a registry, we are working on one now and will have it up shortly. Thanks so much.
